"Brush and Beyond" Mixed Media Collage
Create, recycle and combine media with Vae Hamilton as you explore new dimensions and freedom in your artwork emphasizing new and experimental ways of painting with water based paints and collage. Working from transparent to opaque with color and value, explore the use of water media and the application of acrylic gel mediums and gesso. Learning to Transfer images, create texture, work with computer generated images, gold leaf, “found” materials and photographs are just a few of the highlights.

Want to get started or just been away from art for a while? We can all use a refresher for the basics of design, composition, color, value and helpful techniques. This two-day workshop will get your creative juices flowing for sure. Vae Hamilton will work with you in water based acrylic paint and collage. We will explore new and different techniques transfers a variety of different mediums.

“Mixing it Up and Beyond”
Vae Hamilton will be expanding on the basics of painting with acrylics and collage with transfer methods, creative texturing, employing stamping, stenciling, more on color and value in your work. Bring those paintings that just didn’t quite fulfill you’re expectations and we’ll “fix them up”.
